Trust
We the US Military Veteran trust there will be a place to come back to after fighting to keep the USA free. The fact that living through and then retaining the memory in the subconscious of what our uncivilized actions were becomes the constant reminder at the most unexpected times. It is not just the memory of what we did but also the long constant day after day of becoming complacent with taking other lives and at the same time knowing it is your last day in life over there. Every individual US Military person does not go through the same events and is affected by what they do different in each case. There is no set rule of what life will be like back in the world “USA” if we come back. There is no set rule of when if ever the memory has to or even will become a disability causing others to reject us. Most of us will adjust and compromise what we did so the people around us just will see us different than when we left but not associate it with what we did. US citizen’s back here cannot conceive the real life of over there.
Most Veterans Administration doctors have never been in combat so they have no idea what it is like. Most VA doctors are from a foreign nation and only speak broken English. This means that they are treating us from theory or hit and miss. The path for a returning veteran to get care from the VA is a path through a maze of obstacles that are meant to discourage and make you leave. Most treatment at VA hospitals comes from interns just out of college working to get their license. I can talk blue in the face but if the newspapers censor my words how do you tell others the wrongs US Military Veterans face back here in the Real World. Our voice is silenced as the silent demons eat away and there is a lost since of reality to why we ever came back alive. Imagine that a US Military Combat Veteran telling the world why and this letter is censored again and again. We trusted you when we went now the true Red, White and Blue will cover our Caskets for that trust.
The editors say they are tired of hearing over and over about my wife and I spending our life savings and mortgaged our home to the hilt to purchase land at 101 Stepping Stone Rd in Lee NH to build cabins in the woods for homeless combat veterans to live to try to mentally and physically come back. The slow down in the town of Lee because no public support has come in the way of people telling the town it is a good idea. Government officials move at a snail pace unless they see something in it for themselves. Public knowledge and support means that the government officials see self-gain by passing the paper work quickly speeding up the snail and things get done. US Military Veterans trusted you now help them.
The useless, unneeded tests to just get a permit are expensive and each dollar wasted is one less dollar spent to help a US Military Veteran in need. All citizens must go through the same waste unless the government waves them. I am not asking for your money only your support to make the newspapers print the truth and the government help make this possible as quick as possible to help those that trusted in you so they went of to war hoping to come back alive.
