Fosters Daily Democrat Rod Doherty Dover NH
Editors have no rights
What right does any editor have to censor the words of their readers because they do not like the person? Freedom of the Press is a crucial part of the individual’s right to communicate to others of government wrongs. A prime source of freedom is not to create ignorant voters by depriving the voters of facts or opinion of any candidate even if the editors believe it is a dangerous point of view. My letters are published around the world on the web so they contain truthful facts clearly stating government wrongs that inspired me to run for NH State Senate. The worst part is my wife and I put our life savings out to purchase waterfront property in Lee NH then mortgaged our home to the hilt to build cabins for homeless veterans to live free of charge if needed to come back mentally and/or physically from the life defending and protecting our USA that many of you will never understand. To censor the truth from the public/voters is a wrong that has far reaching consequences. To knowingly harm individuals you do not even know that fought for the USA cannot be tolerated.
The newspapers through editorials and articles have high praise for my opponent Ms. Clark. She is a nice person but the choice must be a well-informed voter. Unbiased news is just that-both sides of the facts. To leave out one entire side to cause the ignorant voter to vote for what the editors say is the best choice just is wrong. I have done a lot of crazy non-selfish things in my life. Volunteering to help other citizens every day possible since coming back in 74 I do not consider a crazy thing. I volunteered years back to help a Madbury NH family with a zoning issue and never stopped. The Madbury NH selectmen use the trusted power of the people to take land from local residents for the selectmen’s own profit or gain. The newspapers censor this story harming other US citizens. Judge Peter Fauver criminally violated the Constitution to allow the selectmen to continue stealing from local residents. We brought the case to the NH Supreme Court with un-disputed documented facts “proof beyond any reasonable mind” and the SC refused to hear the case. Non-Violent actions are in a civilized society the best manner to correct the wrongs in government. To run for elected office and have the editors censor the truth to protect what they call government officials with good reputations is just a crime against humanity. To stop the medical care for combat related disabilities as they have done to me to stop my writing opinion letters of government wrongs cannot be tolerated. To censor these facts from the public is a crime by Rod Doherty of the Fosters’ newspaper that is beyond belief.
I am a candidate for NH State Senate District 21. My wife and I also help other citizens have a better life. One has nothing to do with the other. Veteran helping Veterans is something close to me. I have lived with the destructive nature of the VA that the public does not see. My giving today’s veterans Homeless and others a place to call home and possibly come back is my life dream. I do not have to win the election but we all must do anything possible to help these men and women have the best life possible for what they did for our freedom. Tell the editors Veteran helping Veterans all our responsibility so do not censor.
