“Behind the legend of Mike Flanagan was a real” death always makes us look back to how we should have seen it coming. Mike was a great athlete that played a role in life just as the rest of us. Mike got recognition for the love of the role in life that he played rather than the brutal acts his life made him do for the future of other US citizens. On the page before Joe McQuaid talks about Harold Jennings a passing US Military Veteran as a needed lead to in the city column. Quiet unknown heroes play the most important role in every US citizen’s life for a token thank you or a passing parade when these US Military Veterans come home. Our opinion letters are not even worth the protection of freedom of speech for the paper to publish if we tell the scary truth of where we have been. Joe tells that “He Harold lived through that and saw things that most of us are spared from seeing” as if just another passing “Thank You” from citizens that see as back ground to a new city column being announced. Mike was a lucky man that lived a great life doing what he wanted. Harold Jennings was a great man for what he did for his country that gets a token response for US Military Veterans feel gratitude for being alive and wish you would recognize what we are going through rather than censor our words as the danger you perceive we are. Suicide by active US Military and the ones that made it back alive no one back here wants to see the warning signs because to believe the impossible is to believe the impossible acts that we live through. The inhuman, inconceivable uncivilized acts of war or conflict no one wants to understand.
The Veterans hospital rejects veterans that symptoms that the veteran cannot prove are service connected. Rejected are veterans that write opinion letters that question government retribution against US citizens in direct violation of our Constitution. As retribution to veterans that PTSD or other symptoms show the human being is Red Flagged as the silent way to reject and isolate. The VA knowing that the drugs given to veterans for PTSD do not work other than take the ability to live a normal life away continue to give causing more harm and no good. The VA does a lot more harm to the veteran with out public knowledge because opinion such as this is censored for the danger our government wants you to believe we are. Mike was real just as the Harold Jennings and the rest of the US military veterans are.
The NH and Federal government stops this US Military veteran’s medical care for service connected combat related disabilities until I stop writing opinion of government wrongs. The newspapers censor the truth just as all the silent harm of the VA does to veterans is washed away by the saying “That was before, we corrected those wrongs” I write articles on how my PTSD needs help yet the only help is jail or law enforcement coming to my home as retribution.
Behind the legend are the homeless veterans that we forget. The Veterans that lose their families, friends and job because this nation does not recognize the change of what we did may not appear for years as untreated symptoms of what we did.
Mike was a great guy but the Harold Jennings are what the USA forgets because we do not stand behind a legend.
