Veteran asks help, Rod Doherty, seacoastonline

Voice of the people I served as a US Marine during the Vietnam Conflict and came back with four disabilities. Three of the injuries are from my participation in Vietnam offensives and being American Advisor on convoys. I am running for NH State Senate District 21 and the newspapers censor my words to keep the voters from learning what I stand for and my goals for NH will be if elected. The Veterans Administration stops my medical care for service-connected disabilities but will care for any other medical need to fluff my medical file incase of investigation. I have asked nothing since I came back but I volunteer almost every day of the year to help others have a better life. Where does one go back here when there are no other avenues to travel to express the wrongs committed by trusted government officials? Flashbacks and serious pain engulfs my head and body but I hold my head high for I am proud of what I did as a US Marine. The VFW, American Legion, and Elk’s clubs ignore as if this individual does not even exist. It is like they want violence to show they are right and to put me away. I have seen and done violence far beyond what you back here can imagine and that experience stops me from any violence to stop the wrongs by judges and government officials in the State of New Hampshire. My wife believes so much in Veteran helping Veterans; her and I put our life savings including our home out to purchase eleven-acres to build a Veteran Resort-Chapel for PTSD/TBI and homeless veterans in NH to have a single person cabin to call home until if ever they can re-enter civilized society. The news media and government officials want you to believe that I am such a bad person they refuse to tell the public of a place to help Combat sicken Veterans. Think of a Veteran with PTSD combined with TBI plus a broken back and loss of most hearing in both ears from Vietnam offensives and our VA can stop medical care until I stop writing opinion letters of government wrongs. There are over 600 homeless veterans in NH alone. I bet the VA has done this or similar to these men and women and no one can speak for them. I am one of them and I will speak even if the News Media believes it is their place to use freedom of the Press to silence the voice of the people. NH and the Town of Lee should be proud to have a Veteran Resort-Chapel to help combat veterans have at least a chance to come back. There is no profit or gain in this for my wife or I. We hope to find a way to pay for it to keep it going but my disability pension will be used to help as many as we can. Eleven-acres of single person cabins spread through out the woods for veterans to live free. Paths and 571’ of waterfront for these men and women that served us to walk and think with out civilized society disconcerting remarks discouraging us as we pass by. My wife knows veteran-helping veterans is a cause this society must participate in for she lives with the consequences and I thank her for not giving up on me. To silence the voice of the people is just plan wrong. To silence a candidate for NH State Senate just cannot be tolerated, as it must be a well-informed voter that cast the ballots. Help US get the Veteran Resort-Chapel a reality. Peter Macdonald Sgt USMC Semper Fi 465 Packers falls rd Lee NH 03824 6037813839
